Tours logo
In ancient times Greeks inhabited the
coast of Asia Minor, an area known as Ionia. Ionia was the
birthplace of Greek literature, science, philosophy, architecture,
city planning, and culture generally. Our logo is an Ionic
column, taken from a woodcut of a column on the Erechtheion
at Athens. The column symbolizes the learning, grace, and
culture of ancient Greece.

Tours motto
The Greek inscription says, "Foreign travel
is the best education." This was a sentiment well known by Greeks
from Homer on. Odysseus, that clever and resourceful hero, was
a "man of many turns," in large part because "he had seen the
cities of many men, and knew their minds." Our director also believes
that seeing new people, places, and things is the best education.
He wrote the inscription.
